Chem/IUPAC Name | Polyurethane-98 is a urethane polymer that is made in several steps. First, a polyether diol is made by reacting 1,2-butylene oxide with Propylene Glycol. A second diol polymer is made by condensing Adipic Acid and Isophthalic Acid with 3-methylpentane-1,5-diol. These two polymers are mixed and then reacted with Trimethylhexamethylene Diisocyanate to form a polyurethane. The polyurethane is capped with Hydroxyethyl Acrylamide. |
